The chairman of the “For the Republic” party, Arman Babajanyan, addressed the March 1 case in the National Assembly.
“Today, we record the judicial end of our country’s law enforcement system, as the ECHR’s September 18 decision records 17 years of widespread inaction. For 17 years, we have all avoided the simple truth of saying that the Republic of Armenia shot our citizens,” said Arman Babajanyan.
According to him, the ECHR confirmed not only the violation of the right to life, but also that for 17 years there has been no effective investigation in the country, and the state has not fulfilled its duty to find out who killed them.
