The head of the Kazakh company stated that the supply of grain to Armenia is an example of food diplomacy.
“This event is not only of economic, but also of historical importance, as it opens up promising opportunities for the development of direct transit and mutual trade. Through the export of Kazakh grain, we are creating new bridges of cooperation and contributing to the restoration of good-neighborly relations, as well as strengthening trust between the countries of the region,” said a representative of the NC Food Contract Corporation.
According to him, the National Grain Operator of Kazakhstan is ready to supply about 15-20 thousand tons of grain to Armenian consumers per month.
In October, the National Grain Operator of Kazakhstan signed a long-term cooperation agreement for the supply of grain to Armenian consumers. The pilot batch consists of grade 4 grain, which can be used for both general-purpose flour and animal feed production.
At the same time, Kazakhstan has the opportunity to export various grades of grain, including durum wheat (durum) and high-protein wheat (hi-pro).
A statement published on the country’s Ministry of Agriculture website states that negotiations are currently underway with Armenian businesspeople.
