Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that during his visit to Italy, where he met with the country’s prime minister and the Pope, he saw that every European leader was thinking about war.
According to the politician, Europe lacks the resources to finance Ukraine’s future reconstruction.
“Europe’s forces and money are running out. The biggest question is who will finance what will remain of Ukraine after the war. Who has the money? Which EU countries are ready to direct billions of euros to Ukraine’s self-reliance?” he wrote on his Facebook page.
Orbán also criticized and ridiculed the idea of EU countries taking back frozen Russian assets.
“A new miracle weapon has emerged from Brussels – to seize and use Russia’s currency reserves in Europe. This is a Russian-European conflict, perhaps even a prelude to war. The escalation of the conflict can only be prevented through direct negotiations between Russia and Europe. “This is what we encourage in our recent meetings,” Orbán wrote.
