Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed Ilham Aliyev’s statement at the 5th Silk Road Forum in Tbilisi, according to which restrictions on the transit of goods through Azerbaijan to Armenia are being lifted.
“Ilham Aliyev announced yesterday that Azerbaijan is lifting restrictions on the transit of goods through its territory to Armenia. This is a significant statement, and I want to express my appreciation for this step of the Azerbaijani President and welcome this statement,” the Prime Minister said.
Pashinyan thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
“Something that seemed incredible months ago is happening: grain is being imported from Kazakhstan to Armenia through Azerbaijan and Georgia. I would also like to express my appreciation for this deal to the President of Kazakhstan and the Prime Minister of Georgia,” he added.
