An “unwelcome visitor” from outer space has appeared in the Australian desert. On Saturday, October 18, workers at a mine in Western Australia noticed a vast, still-smoking metal fragment on the side of the road. The incident has drawn the attention of both the police and the Australian Space Agency, which said it plans to conduct a “technical study to determine the origin of the fragment.”
According to preliminary data, the mysterious fragment is made of carbon fiber and is most likely part of a rocket. According to the information received, the fragment is space junk and may belong to the Chinese Jielong 3 (Smart Dragon 3) rocket.
