Volodymyr Zelensky has called on Donald Trump to give a clear position on the package of sanctions against Russia and security guarantees for Ukraine to stop Vladimir Putin and end the war.
In an interview with Sky News, the Ukrainian president stated that the only way to halt the fighting is first to introduce certain security guarantees.
He said he hoped that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer would discuss the details of securing Ukraine’s future with the US president during a state visit to the country this week.
“I hope that he will be able to have a concrete discussion on security guarantees for Ukraine from the US. Before the war stops, I really want all the agreements to be in force. I want to have a document that the US and all European partners will support. This is very important. For this to become a reality, we need a clear position from President Trump,” Zelensky said.
