The process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan is almost complete. The signed documents fully meet our interests, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said.
“We have achieved what we wanted, the Minsk Group is already living its last days. It has not carried out any activities in fact and has not been able to do so. However, it existed legally, and now its end is approaching,” he said.
According to Aliyev, the signing of the peace agreement will effectively put an end to the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
“We are also the authors of the peace agreement with Armenia, and our position has always been taken into account when developing these points. The signing of this document will effectively put an end to the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” he emphasized.
The Azerbaijani President expressed satisfaction that an agreement has been reached on a land connection between the central part of Azerbaijan and Nakhichevan.
