Gastronomic diplomacy: what was served to Trump at the Beijing banquet

We will build a more just world. Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan issued a message on World Humanitarian Day.

Turkey has delivered over 101,000 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza, supported the UN agency for Palestinian refugees in the Middle East, and carried out humanitarian mobilizations worth more than $40 million. On World Humanitarian Day, we face the bitter reality that more than 300 million people are deprived of the most basic humanitarian needs,” Erdogan said, adding that this picture shocks the conscience of humanity and calls for responsibility from the entire world.

He stressed that humanitarian aid is a matter of conscience, beyond political influences. He added that Turkey is considered one of the most generous countries in the world in terms of gross national income, thanks to its humanitarian diplomacy approach.

Turkey extends a helping hand to all those in need, regardless of nationality and religion. It is the brightest manifestation of our determination to protect human dignity and follow the voice of conscience. Despite the global crises, geopolitical tensions, and conflicts that complicate humanitarian activities, we will never give up on these efforts, regardless of geographical location. We will build a more just world, with people and humanitarian values at the center,” the president continued in his publication.

Erdogan stated that Turkey will never close its doors to people, to humanity.

“To assist the oppressed, orphans, the helpless, the needy, to be a support for those who are left without support – this is the message of our religion. Happy are those who find a place in their hearts for the oppressed and the needy without discrimination,” Erdogan concluded.
