Istanbul will become a center of international diplomacy this week, with two key talks scheduled to take place, according to Independent Türkçe.
Representatives of Iran, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany are scheduled to meet in Istanbul on Friday to discuss Iran’s nuclear program. This will be the first official contact between the parties since Israel and the United States recently carried out strikes on Iranian facilities.
Discussions are expected to focus on possible measures to limit Iran’s nuclear activities, re-establish control mechanisms, and build mutual trust.
Peace talks involving delegations from Russia and Ukraine are also expected to take place in Istanbul this week. According to sources, the Russian-Ukrainian meeting is scheduled to take place on Wednesday or Thursday. Official details on the time, venue, and composition of the delegations have not yet been released.
Organizational work is currently underway for the two talks, including finalizing the venues, defining security measures, and arranging logistical issues.
The negotiations, as noted, will be held in a closed format, without the participation of the press. Details will be communicated to the public exclusively through written statements.
