In Armenia, from January to May of this year, compared to the same period in 2024, the production of particular food and alcoholic products decreased significantly.
According to statistical data, the production of pasta decreased the most (by about 40%). Wine production decreased by 38%, and brandy production by 30%.
A decline in the production of vodka and other alcoholic beverages was also observed (by about 18%). Chocolate and confectionery production decreased by 11%, and table salt production by 12%. A decrease was also recorded in sausage production, amounting to approximately 10%.
At the same time, the production of some products in Armenia increased significantly. The most significant increase was recorded in cereal production, which increased by approximately 65% compared to the previous year.
Tobacco production increased by 54%, and refined vegetable oils by 40%. Growth was also recorded in the dairy sector, with notable increases in cottage cheese production (23.6%), margarine (23.5%), ice cream (20.7%), and sour cream (21.7%).
Growth was also recorded in the production of non-alcoholic beverages, cheese, and fruit juices.
