Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has warned Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei that he could suffer the “fate of Saddam Hussein.” Katz made the remarks this morning during a meeting with senior IDF officials.
“I warn the Iranian dictator not to continue committing war crimes and firing missiles at Israeli civilians. He would do well to remember the fate of the dictator in Iran’s neighboring country who chose the same path against Israel,” Katz said, referring to Hussein, the former Iraqi leader who was executed.
Katz, referring to the Israeli strike on Iran’s state television building the day before, said that other facilities of the Iranian civilian regime’s administration could also be targeted.
“We will continue to act against the regime and military targets in Tehran today, just as we did against the government that broadcasts propaganda and provocations yesterday,” he said.
