Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has officially unveiled its first electric vehicle, the Xiaomi YU7 crossover, to mark its 15th anniversary. CarNewsChina revealed the new model.

All versions run on an 800-volt platform and use silicon carbide V6s Plus electric motors. A single charge takes just 15 minutes, and the vehicle has a range of 620 km.

The model’s first public debut was scheduled for the Shanghai Motor Show but was postponed due to an incident with a pilot autonomous system. The company conducted an internal investigation and revised safety protocols, after which the premiere was moved to July 2025. It is reported that the price of the car will be announced at the premiere.
