US State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce has announced that Washington will gradually limit its involvement in the peace talks between Ukraine and Russia.
“The essence of the changes is that we remain involved and ready to help as much as possible. However, we are no longer going to rush and actively intervene, ‘flying around the world’ to participate in negotiations,” Bruce said.
According to him, now Ukraine and Russia themselves must take responsibility.
“It is time for them to present and develop clear proposals for resolving the conflict. The decision is in their hands,” the State Department representative concluded.
