Reuters, citing its own source, reports that China may exempt some goods imported from the United States from 125% tariffs and is already taking the first steps to implement this plan.
A working group under the Chinese Ministry of Commerce is compiling lists of goods that can be exempted from tariffs and is asking companies to submit their own proposals.
According to the Caijing financial magazine, Beijing may add eight products related to the production of semiconductors to the list.
On Friday, a list of 131 categories of goods that can be exempted from duties was actively circulated on social networks. Among them are vaccines, chemicals, and aircraft engines. However, the authenticity of this list has not been confirmed.
