J.D. Vance said Trump seeks to “rebalance global trade” while announcing progress in U.S.-India trade talks.
According to the U.S. vice president, they want to work with people and countries who recognize the historic nature of the moment to come together and build something genuinely new. This global trading system is balanced, open, sustainable, and fair.
“America’s partners don’t have to be like America, nor do our governments have to do everything the same way, but we do have to have some common goals,” he stressed.
“Critics have attacked President Trump for starting a trade war in the past to bring back jobs, but nothing could be further from the truth. He is seeking to rebalance global trade so that America and friends like India can build a dignified future for all our people,” he added.
