King Charles III of England, who is in Italy on a four-day state visit with his wife, celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary, Euronews reports. Italian President Sergio Mattarella hosted a banquet in their honor at the Quirinal Palace in Rome.
The program of the visit is packed: the monarch is expected to speak in the Italian parliament, meet with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and visit Ravenna, where the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the city from Nazi occupation will be celebrated.
It should be noted that Charles III is being treated for cancer. At the end of March, he canceled several events due to worsening health.
