Android Authority reports that Google is planning to release a special version of its artificial intelligence (AI) Gemini service for children.
Media experts have examined the code of the Google app for Android (version 16.12.39) and discovered several lines that hint at a special version of artificial intelligence for children. The code mentions “child users.”
The magazine’s journalists assume Gemini will allow children to use neural network services on their smartphones. In particular, they can create stories with AI, solve school problems, and receive support for development and learning.
The source notes that the Gemini chatbot can perform various tasks for younger users, but the “children’s” version will have stricter censorship. Experts suggest that such a chatbot should be configured so that none of the user’s content will appear on the Internet.
“It is still unclear how Google will implement Gemini for children. It is assumed that this mode will be automatically enabled if the linked Google account belongs to a child,” the authors concluded.
