37-year-old Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic lost to 19-year-old Jakub Menšík in the final of the Miami Masters. The Czech tennis player won both sets in tiebreaks, 7:6, 7:6.
Menšík became the lowest-ranked athlete to win the tournament. He was ranked 54th in the ATP rankings.
During the award ceremony, Menšík emphasized that Djokovic was his childhood idol. “Novak, everyone knows that you are number one… I am here because I have seen how you have grown.
