The RA Ministry of Defense reports that the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense’s statement that on March 30, from 22:30 to March 31, at 04:35, the RA Armed Forces opened fire on Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern and southeastern sectors of the border zone does not correspond to reality.
At the same time, we inform you that on March 31, at around 00:50, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire in the direction of the Khnatsakh settlement in the Syunik region, as a result of which a residential house was damaged.
There were no casualties.
It should be recalled that the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia’s staff proposed to create a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism for investigating cases of ceasefire violations and/or information about them, to which Azerbaijan has not responded to this to date.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reaffirms that, by the position of the Prime Minister’s Office of the Republic of Armenia, it is ready to investigate the facts substantiating the message of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, in case they are transferred to the Republic of Armenia.
At the same time, we call on the Azerbaijani side to investigate the fact of the shelling of a residential building in the Khnatsakh settlement and to provide public clarifications.
