US President Donald Trump has posted on Truth Social that he is in serious talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin about ending the war, as well as significant economic development deals between the US and Russia.
“The discussions are going very well,” Trump said, reiterating that the Russian-Ukrainian conflict would never have started if he had been president three years ago.
The US president stressed the importance of the “vital minerals and rare earths agreement” between the United States and Ukraine and hoped it would be signed very soon.
“This deal, which is an “economic partnership,” will allow the American people to return tens of billions of dollars and military equipment sent to Ukraine and will help stimulate the Ukrainian economy as the end of this brutal and merciless war draws near,” the US president wrote.
