Reuters reports that US State Department representative Tammy Bruce summarized the results of the Russian-American talks in Riyadh.
The representatives of Russia and the United States agreed:
– To establish a mechanism for consultations to eliminate factors of concern in bilateral relations and to take the necessary measures to regulate the work of relevant diplomatic missions.
– To form high-level groups to begin work on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict and to complete it as soon as possible.
– To lay the foundations for future cooperation on issues of mutual geopolitical interest, as well as economic and investment opportunities that will open up as a result of the successful end of the conflict in Ukraine.
– To establish a mechanism for consultations to overcome provocations in US-Russian relations.
“One phone conversation followed by one meeting is insufficient to establish lasting peace. “We must act, and today we have taken an important step,” the State Department representative emphasized.
