US President Donald Trump had a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The New York Post reports.
It is noted that the military conflict in Ukraine was discussed.
“It’s better not to say,” Trump said, answering the New York Post’s question about how many times the two leaders had spoken.
Trump noted that Putin “wants people to stop dying in the conflict in Ukraine.” He also said that he “always had a good relationship with Putin,” unlike Biden. “Biden was a disgrace to our nation. A complete disgrace.”
The three-year war “would never have happened” if he had been president in 2022, Trump insisted.
Trump said he has a concrete plan to end the war.
“People are dying every day. I want to end this damn war,” he said.
