The National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia has confirmed that a discussion took place on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border regarding the issue of prisoners of war and missing persons.
“On February 7, a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on the Issues of Prisoners of War, Hostages, and Missing Persons (Whereabouts Unknown) of the Republic of Armenia and the State Commission on the Issues of Prisoners of War, Hostages, and Missing Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan took place on the border of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on clarifying the fate of missing persons and agreed that the commissions’ discussions would continue by mutual consent.
