US President Donald Trump has announced the upcoming dismissals of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) leadership.
“A group of extremist lunatics runs this agency. We are removing them, and then we will decide,” the White House chief said.
Businessman Elon Musk has also joined Trump’s criticism of the USAID.
The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX called the agency a criminal organization and accused it of financing the development of biological weapons, including COVID-19.
Musk did not substantiate his statements with any evidence.
Notably, the USAID “X” account is unavailable, and the website is down.
