The RA Foreign Ministry has presented Ararat Mirzoyan’s press statement on the results of the meeting with the Kyrgyz Foreign Minister:
“Greetings, dear colleagues,
Dear Mr. Minister, dear friend, colleague,
I am pleased to welcome you and the delegation you lead to Yerevan. I am confident that this visit will be an excellent opportunity to discuss all issues on the bilateral agenda, outline and deepen our relations in various areas, and reflect on, analyze, and share the latest events and perceptions of the international and regional agendas.
Dear guests, during today’s discussions, we touched upon bilateral relations with the esteemed Minister Kulubayev—the readiness of our two countries to significantly deepen our relations in several areas that we have highlighted. Our political dialogue has always been relatively high level. Traditionally, our contacts have mainly taken place on multilateral platforms, and, of course, from this perspective, this bilateral visit is also essential.
I want to inform you that Minister Kulubayev has invited me to visit Kyrgyzstan. I gladly accept the invitation, and we will organize the visit in the near future. We also have plans for high-level mutual visits. Among other initiatives, the 2025-2026 Cooperation Program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, signed by us today, will also deepen our relations.
In our bilateral relations, as in any bilateral relationship, economic relations and trade turnover play a significant role. Here, we must admit that the potential that trade turnover has is many times greater than what is happening, the trade turnover that exists between us, and we have plans both to increase the volumes of trade turnover, to deepen economic ties, and of course, to learn from each other, to benefit from each other’s financial successes, which, of course, in the case of Kyrgyzstan, have been very impressive over the past year. Armenia is ready to share its opportunities, including some of our steps in innovative technologies and the digital agenda.
New logistics programs can significantly improve economic cooperation. Like the world, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia are making new efforts to join large logistics networks. In this regard, our government’s “Crossroads of Peace” program, which I presented to my colleague, is essential, remarkable, and enjoyable. We hope these and other programs will become a reality and provide new opportunities for countries, businessmen, businesses, and ordinary people.
I want to single out the TUMO center, where several countries, capitals, cities, and the relevant Kyrgyz departments have shown interest.
I presented to my colleague our regional issues, the latest developments in the normalization processes of Armenia-Azerbaijan, and, why not, also Armenia-Turkey relations.
This visit will help change the quality of our relations, if not the intensity. Thank you for the visit.
