The EU and EAEU are incompatible; they are different systems of economic protection and tariff regimes. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced this, emphasizing that it is impossible to sit on two chairs.
“The government of Armenia has the right to decide to join any international union, but it must weigh its positive and negative aspects and bear responsibility for its consequences,” he said.
He also informed us that he had invited Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to Moscow.
“Ararat Mirzoyan was invited to Moscow. The dialogue with Yerevan continues,” Lavrov said.
The Russian Foreign Minister said his Armenian counterpart had accepted the invitation, but it may happen soon.
