First Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan and Deputy Minister Armen Gasparyan received representatives from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KICA).
During the past year, we have recorded constructive cooperation with Korean partners.
First Deputy Minister Lena Nanushyan emphasized the study of Korean best practices in comprehensive health insurance, improving the quality of medical services, and the opening of the Korea International Cooperation Agency in Yerevan, which will contribute to further cooperation.
The Government of Korea will provide Official Development Assistance (ODA) in 2024 as a sign of mutual friendship and cooperation. Within the framework of the program, 6 ambulances were donated to the RA Ministry of Health, which will update the Republican Ambulance Service’s fleet.
“At this stage, when we are carrying out reforms in the ambulance sector, adding 6 more vehicles to the ambulance fleet will help to better fulfill the tasks before us,” said Deputy Minister Armen Gasparyan.
Possible support in maternal and child health care was also discussed.
