Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and French President Emmanuel Macron signed a joint declaration of strategic cooperation in Paris on an official visit.
In the declaration, the parties fully supported normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Paragraph 3 of the declaration states: “They expressed full support for the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the early signing of an agreement that would allow for a just and stable peace in the region, respecting the territorial integrity of both states and based on the 1991 Alma-Ata Declaration. The two presidents emphasized the importance of stability in the South Caucasus for developing the Trans-Caspian Corridor.”
The Presidents also reaffirmed their joint commitment to promoting peace, security, and stability at the global and regional levels and expressed grave concern about the situation in Ukraine, its humanitarian consequences, and its implications for the global economy and food security of the most vulnerable countries.
