RA Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan met with Minister of State of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Muhammad Al Thani during his visit to Qatar.
During the meeting, several issues of mutual interest were discussed.
Vahe Ghazaryan, thanking for the warm reception, noted that he highly values the friendly relations with the State of Qatar, which improved even more after Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s visit in 2022.
Vahe Ghazaryan presented Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed Al Thani with the ongoing reforms in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He emphasized the State of Qatar’s support in establishing the four pillars of the Police in logistics and personnel training.
The Minister of Internal Affairs emphasized the Government’s approach to disaster risk management, presenting the Disaster Risk Management Strategy for 2023-2030, the action plan for 2023-2026, and the work carried out in the Rescue Service.
Vahe Ghazaryan also emphasized close cooperation with international partners to ensure an efficient and operative disaster response service.
The State Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the State of Qatar expressed readiness for cooperation and stated that the discussed issues would be studied. Possible ways of developing cooperation between friendly countries and their continuity were discussed.
