The Union of European Broadcasters and the Public Television of Armenia are pleased to announce that the “Classical Eurovision Song Contest for Young Musicians” will be held in Armenia in 2026. The classical music competition is intended for young people aged 12 to 21.
Hovhannes Movsisyan, executive director of the public television company, says: “It is a great honor for us to host this very format of Eurovision – the “Classic Eurovision Song Contest for Young Musicians” in Armenia. The public television company and the Union of European Broadcasters will spare no effort to make Armenia the center of classical music in 2026. We will gladly welcome talented young musicians to our country.”
Ruler Narek Kazazyan represented Armenia in this competition for the first time in 2012. We had the subsequent participation 12 years later, in 2024, when oboist Hayk Hekekyan represented Armenia. The Classical Eurovision Song Contest for Junior Musicians has been held every two years since 1982. In 2026, Armenia will be the host country of the competition.
