The UEFA Champions League tournament starts today in a modified format.
According to Opta, Manchester City is considered the main favorite for the Champions League in the opening competition. The probability of them winning is 25.3%. Opta’s supercomputer made this prediction based on about 10,000 simulations.
Second in the list of favorites is the current Champions League cup holder Real Madrid with 18.2%. For the first time, Milan “Inter” appeared in the top three contenders (10.9%). Notably, Bayer Leverkusen (5.4%) completes the top five.
The most expensive team is Real Madrid, which costs 1.34 billion euros, and the cheapest is Slovan Bratislava, which costs 24.15 million euros.
