Malkhas Amoyan
Malkhas Amoyan, champion of the World and European championships and multiple medal winner, Greco-Roman style wrestler, will participate in the Olympic Games for the first time.
– Malkhas, will you participate in your first Olympic Games? What’s the mood like?
-Very good: I approach the Olympics like any other tournament. At the moment, I have the same emotions and feelings as before the world or European championships. I consulted with my teammates. They say you should approach the competition in good shape, both psychologically and physically. The mat will show how ready I am and what I deserve.
– What do you need to complete your medal collection and become a medal winner at the Olympic Games?
Yes, the Olympic Games medal is missing. Participating in the Olympic Games and becoming a champion is a dream for all athletes. I have gone through good preparation for this goal. We had several meetings and worked hard to correct mistakes. The carpet will do the rest.
– Are you familiar with other wrestlers in your weight category? What kind of competition do you expect?
– There will be 16 wrestlers in total in my weight class of 77 kg. I consider everyone to be my competitor without underestimating or overestimating anyone.
– How will Paris-2024 stand out for you, apart from the fact that it will be your first Olympic Games?
– I hope only in a positive way. I will be able to answer after the competition. I want to participate in the Olympic Games and uphold the honor of my country.
