Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a condolence telegram to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, on the occasion of the death of the prominent explorer of the Arctic and Antarctic Artur Chilingarov. It is said in the telegram.
“Dear Vladimir Vladimiry,
It was with deep sadness that I learned about the death of Artur Nikolay Chilingarov, an outstanding explorer of the Arctic and Antarctic, a member of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
Being an outstanding scientist, the author of basic research on oceanography, the North and South Poles, Artur Chilingarov was also awarded the state awards of the Republic of Armenia for his contribution to the strengthening and development of friendship between Armenia and Russia.
On behalf of the people of Armenia and myself, please convey words of sympathy and support to the family and relatives of Artur Chilingarov.”
