“It is evident to me that sooner or later, the anthem of the Republic of Armenia must be changed; it must be Armenian, connect with our state and Armenian music, and be by the rules of the anthem. I do not claim that it should be replaced by the music of the great Aram Khachatryan, which is magnificent, unsurpassed, and maximally Armenian. Still, changing the existing foreign-born anthem is a necessity.
We should also discuss the issue of changing the coat of arms. At least Armenia cannot be underwater, which was a punishment for humanity; the lion cannot be like a Facebook smiley, and the sword protecting Armenia cannot be chained.”
