Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan referred to Armenian-Russian relations and, in this context, the statements from Russia that in Prague, Armenia recognized Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan, after which they had nothing left but to do the same.
Mirzoyan noted that this claim was both public and non-public. “I will not stop rewriting the sequence of events,” he said, adding: “In September 2022, RA turns to the partners of Russia, where it receives the following answer. The border lines of that part of RA are not clear. Therefore, the Russian side finds it difficult to assess to what extent the territorial integrity of RA has been violated.”
According to the minister, after that, on October 6, 2022, a quadrilateral declaration will be adopted in Prague, according to which the distinction between Armenia and Azerbaijan should proceed according to the Alma Ata declaration, where the Armenia-Azerbaijan border is located.
The minister urged his Russian colleagues to reproduce the cause-and-effect connections and chronological sequence correctly and not attribute things to the Armenian side, for which Armenia is not guilty. “Exactly the opposite. As you can judge from the episode I presented, there were expected and supposed actions by others, and in their absence, RA took concrete steps.”
