Gevorg Papoyan, deputy of the KP faction of the National Assembly, stated that Armenia is ready to provide roads to Azerbaijan under its powers.
“Have you ever heard that the Prime Minister of Armenia made any statement regarding the “corridor”? We announced four years ago that RA is ready to provide roads under its jurisdiction, including roads, Internet, gas pipelines, etc. In other words, these transport routes should be under our jurisdiction, and we are ready to provide them in this context,” he said.
Papoyan emphasized that the “Crossroads of Peace” are about the fact that goods can go from Europe to Asia through the territory of the Republic of Armenia and vice versa. “If we come to Azerbaijan, we will repeat the same thing because Azerbaijan has two parts, and we will follow the same logic regarding it; it cannot be otherwise; this is our position,” he said.
