“Civil Contract” and “Republic” parties decided to sign a memorandum, taking into account the results of the elections held in Yerevan on September 17. During the press conference, the newly elected mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan, announced this.
“The “Republic” and “Civil Contract” factions formed as a result of the elections of the Yerevan Council of Elders on September 17, 2023, considering Armenia’s sovereignty, democracy, and security as the highest values and aiming to make the city of Yerevan a European model, a city suitable and accessible for people. To bring to life the “Republic” and the pre-election programs of the “Civil Contract” parties, they decided to start cooperation to benefit the development of the capital city of Yerevan and the well-being of the people of Yerevan. We will manage the city of Yerevan together, sharing responsibility,” said Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan.
