The Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the police, and the rescue service provide round-the-clock service in the Syunik Region. The Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs carries out the registration process of persons forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh, consisting of two parts—collection, processing, and identification of personal data and assessment of primary needs.
Sectoral authorized bodies have access to the database according to operational needs. The data collection process was organized with the support of international and non-governmental organizations and in cooperation with local self-government bodies. As of 19:00, 35,350 people were counted. Works are carried out 24 hours a day.
The employees of Syunik and Vayots Dzor regional rescue departments and subordinate divisions of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were actively involved in providing humanitarian aid, evacuation and transportation of forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh, and measures to ensure the livelihood of the displaced population. On the spot, as necessary, the rescuers participate in other work arising from the situation.
The employees of the territorial divisions of the MIA police, police troops, and patrol service carry out measures aimed at ensuring public order and public safety, regulation of queues, ensuring road traffic safety, escorts, and also assisting other departments carrying out work on the spot.
