“The humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh continues to deepen and expand.” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this at the government session.
According to him, the stores and pharmacies in Nagorno-Karabakh have not had an external supply of their product range since December 2022. “Since June 15, Azerbaijan has also blocked the delivery of humanitarian goods to Nagorno-Karabakh, including baby food and medicine, also through the ICRC,” he noted.
The Prime Minister reminded us that the governmental working group of Armenia acting to support the people of Nagorno-Karabakh has decided to send humanitarian cargo to Nagorno-Karabakh, and 19 trucks are still standing in Syunik near the Lachin corridor. The Prime Minister also listed 361 tons of humanitarian cargo shipped to Nagorno-Karabakh. “This cargo content has been certified to diplomats accredited in Armenia and can be reconfirmed at any time by examining the 16 trucks already parked in Kornidzor.”
Pashinyan emphasized that no explanation is given regarding blocking the entry of goods into NK. “The ban on the entry of humanitarian goods to Nagorno-Karabakh is made more reliable by the statements about Azerbaijan’s policy of subjecting Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh to genocide.”
