The President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachaturyan, sent a congratulatory message to the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, on National Day.
President Vahagn khachaturyan’s address states explicitly:
“On July 14, 1789, the ideas of freedom, equality, and fraternity set by the French people became universal values, which inspired the Armenian people to move forward on the path of democracy and the supremacy of rights.
On the commitment to those values and the centuries-old strong friendship uniting our peoples, the continuously expanding unique relations and practical cooperation between Armenia and France are based on bilateral and international platforms.
I’m taking advantage of this opportunity, and I’m very thankful for the exceptional solidarity shown by the French society to the Armenian people and for always being by our side during this difficult period full of challenges for our homeland and people.
Armenia highly values your personal commitment and consistent efforts aimed at the just solution of the Nagorno Karabakh problem, guaranteeing the right of the Armenian people to live safely and dignified in its historical cradle and establishing peace in our region.”
