– How do you interpret the information of the Russian “RIA NEWS ” news service that the USA is forcing Nagorno-Karabakh to meet with Azerbaijan and, in case of refusal, threatens with anti-terrorist action? This was also followed by another piece of information, where they already referred to their sources of the Russian Foreign Ministry and stated that Russia is worried about the data according to which the USA is trying to impose mediation services in the dialogue between Baku and Stepanakert, also through threats.
– A Russian peacekeeping force is stationed in Nagorno-Karabakh. There is a Russian-Turkish monitoring center in Aghdam. We are not the last naive people in the world to believe that the military presence does not have an intelligence service or levers of influence on political processes. The information of the Russian State News Agency should be understood in the opposite sense.
– Zakharova stated today that many people want to participate in the process, but their methods do not bring anything positive; they only throw them back. Do you agree with these statements?
– What does Zakharova’s “office” bring positively? Great neighborhoods and Khtsaberd? Karaglukh-Parukh? Was it August of last year? Misrepresentation of the legal and political concepts of “Nagorno Karabakh” and “Lachin Corridor” and “line of contact” in Nagorno-Karabakh from the diplomatic discourse?
– Samvel Babayan said that those figures who are against the Stepanakert-Baku dialogue do not want to take responsibility. They are just a tool in the hands of this or that power center and “warm their hands” on the hostage population. Whom or which political forces are Babayan referring to, and why is there no consensus in Artsakh on this issue?
– Samvel Babayan made a very accurate description. Ruben Vardanyan says that if Azerbaijan does not negotiate with him, the Baku-Stepanakert negotiation is “treason.” This is the root cause of the internal degradation of Karabakh.
– What mechanisms do you envision the Baku-Stepanakert dialogue using in the current situation?
– One must be honest with one’s conscience and, above all, one’s responsibility before the people. There will be no dialogue between Baku and Stepanakert on the principle of “equal with equal”; it is impossible. The rest is a matter of political decision and technique.
