Relatives of those captured in Khtsaberd combat positions in 2020 closed the Gyumri-Bavra interstate road indefinitely.
In a conversation with Radar Armenia, the sister of one of the captured, Gohar Saghatelyan, said they are demanding their brothers and sons from the authorities, “This is a spontaneous action. No official approached us, and we do not want a meeting with the representatives of the government. Our only demand is the return of the boys. No meeting. We have applied for meetings a lot, but they have refused. All doors have been closed in front of us. We had to take an extreme step,” she said, adding that they can take even more complex steps but are still patient, “The goal of this action is to get the authorities to pay attention to this important issue.”
