Vahram Atanesyan, a former member of the Nagorno-Karabakh Central Committee and publicist, wrote on his Facebook page:
“Just as in 1998-2018 and the following two years, we were tweeting about what way out there was, and the possibility that exists/can be found/invented to avoid the unpopular but only optimal solution of returning the territories around Nagorno-Karabakh and achieving peace with Azerbaijan at that price, so and now we are trying to “create an eternal engine.”
It is a hazardous “occupation.” Most likely, prolonging the Armenian-Azerbaijani “game” benefits the power centers. But us? Moreover, as bitter as it may sound, Azerbaijan has nothing to lose from the almost quarter-century diplomatic “ping-pong” that preceded the forty-four-day war and today’s situation.
Everyone should listen to this reality: the government, the opposition, politicians, experts, and analysts. And first of all, the public, the people of Armenia and Artsakh.”
