Eurostat statistics indicate that the countries of the European Union – Italy, Greece, and Bulgaria – imported 15 billion 598 million 852 thousand euros worth of natural gas from Azerbaijan in 2022.
According to statistics, gas imports from Azerbaijan to EU countries in 2021 were 3 billion 892 million 233 thousand euros. Thus, in 2022, the volume of gas purchases in Azerbaijan increased by about four times.
