Political scientist Harutyun Mkrtchyan is the “Radar Chat” program guest at the Radar Armenia booth. He referred to issues related to the settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations and discussed possible solutions to the Karabakh conflict.
– In your opinion, should the settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations and the issue of Artsakh be included in the same document, or should they be separated?
– We have to see again what position the official Stepanakert takes. But at the same time, Armenia and Azerbaijan should regulate Armenia-Azerbaijan relations separately. Azerbaijan-Artsakh concerns should be handled as a result of Azerbaijan-Artsakh negotiations. RA should make it a task to protect its 29,800 square kilometers of sovereign territory so that Azerbaijan recognizes that territory. There is no need to be afraid of the territorial integrity that has been so neglected and not to recognize the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. I have always said: let’s remember the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, give the Azerbaijani side Nagorno-Karabakh with an ethnic Armenian population of 120 thousand, and see what Aliyev will do.
