RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan sent a message during the New Year and Christmas holidays.
“Dear citizens of the Republic of Armenia, dear compatriots, we will turn the last page of the 2022 calendar in a few minutes and enter 2023.
The past year was full of trials and challenges for our statehood, with continuous struggle and achievements for the sovereignty and independence of our state, irreversible losses, border tension, and security threats facing Artsakh Armenians.
On the eve of 2023, I want each of us in our families, around our holiday tables, mentally summing up the past year, to take a moment to look back and see what we will leave behind in the past year and what we should take with us to new years ahead.
With what experience and knowledge we will take a step towards the coming year, with what hopes, will, and faith we, as a state, as a nation, and as a collective society, will continue our path towards our cherished dream: a developing, prosperous, safe and peaceful Armenia.
To have such an Armenia, I believe that our people can realize and appreciate their historical experience and experience; in the sum of that realization, we can find the potential of building our longed-for homeland. I am sure we will come out of the trials that have befallen our country more muscular, robust, and wiser.
Dear people, in the coming year, the priorities of our state, our citizens, and our politicians will continue to be the development and strengthening of our country. Ensure the peace and security of our borders, the rights of our Artsakh brothers and sisters to live in dignity and build their thousand-year-old homeland, and a just resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Dear compatriots, in the coming year 2023, I would like to wish all of us peace, endless family happiness, endurance, and peaceful and creative work for the benefit and welfare of the Republic of Armenia. Happy new year”:
