An artificial insemination service will be launched at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of the Gyumri Medical Center within the framework of the government’s program on overcoming infertility.
Gyumri Medical Center CEO Armen Isahakyan told ARMENPRESS that the strategy of launching the service in 2023 has been discussed with Deputy Minister of Healthcare Artak Jumayan.
On December 13, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan tasked healthcare authorities to develop recommendations on 100% enhancement of the state program on overcoming infertility. The Gyumri Medical Center is the first hospital outside Yerevan where In vitro fertilization (IVF) service will be implemented.
The service will be free of charge for patients from Shirak, Lori and Aragatsotn province.
