During a briefing, European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, answering a question about Armenia’s prospects for EU membership, stressed that Armenia makes its own decisions.
“There are elections here in a month, of course, the European perspective is on the table, and Armenia will decide for itself,” said Kaja Kallas.
Speaking about the withdrawal of American troops from Germany, the EU High Representative called the timing “unexpected.”
“The withdrawal of American troops from Europe has been discussed for a long time, but this announcement was a surprise. This proves that we need to strengthen Europe’s support in NATO and do more. American troops are in Europe not only to protect European interests, but also American interests,” Kaja Kallas emphasized.
