The bishops’ statement regarding the video attributed to Archbishop Arshak was published today: “The approach of Catholicos Karekin II is alarming and highly puzzling.”
“I want to express my support to the bishops and archbishops. I think this is the beginning of a critical process that will lead to its logical conclusion,” Ruben Mehrabyan, vice-chairman of the “For the Republic” party, said in an interview with Radar Armenia.
According to him, the church has serious problems and, at the same time, the strength, will, and aspiration to address them. “This shameful misunderstanding will eventually end, and the Armenian Apostolic Church will turn to the people,” Ruben Mehrabyan emphasized.
