Today IFC – the member of the WB and the union of banks in Armenia signed a cooperation memorandum which will provide classes for trade banks to discuss the organization of the risk management and the providing of a number of new services.
The best international practice will be presented during the classes which will help the bank employees to ameliorate their skills in the profession.
The head of the union of banks in Armenia Ashot Osipyan said they are very grateful for the opportunity to insert the best practice into Armenian reality. The head of the IFC South Caucasus region Thomas Lyubeck stated the IFC has increased the financing of the programs assisting the improvement of the banks in Armenia.
This initiative is aimed at assisting to overcome the global crisis at the same time providing a safe environment for further economic development.
IFC carries out this program along with the Development Bank of Austria.
